Job summary

NatWest Group is seeking a UI Software Engineer in the United Kingdom to design, implement and test modern user interfaces and services. You will work across the lifecycle, collaborating with UX, product and engineering teams to deliver usable software.

You will apply Agile practices, contribute to automated testing, and help drive resilient, scalable solutions with a focus on performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

Experience designing and developing modern, responsive UIs using React, with focus on usability and performance.
Experience building and supporting mobile apps for iOS and Android.
Strong experience with wireframes, prototypes and UX collaboration.
Strong full-stack engineering with Java microservices, Spring Boot, REST, event-driven tech like Kafka/IBM MQ.
Experience with TDD, automated tests, and Agile/DevOps practices.
Growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

Develop knowledge of platform across business, applications, data and infrastructure.
Liaise with principal engineers, architects and stakeholders to understand platform and objectives.
Apply Agile methods to software development on the backlog.
Produce resilient software and adapt to future needs.
Deliver architecture and emergent design through prototyping.
Design and develop software focusing on build/test/deploy automation.
