Zusammenfassung

Skydance is seeking an exceptionally talented UI Artist to join our London-based team. You will work with developers to create high-quality user interfaces that deliver an intuitive and engaging experience across games and interactive experiences.

You will collaborate on visual concepts, wireframes and prototypes, and help implement UI in Unreal Engine. The role embraces a hybrid working model, combining remote and in-office collaboration as required by the project and line management.

Qualifikationen

• Experience designing UI for games or interactive products.
• Experience implementing UI in Unreal Engine or a similar engine.
• Confident with widgets, materials, shaders and visual scripting.
• Strong graphic design fundamentals: layout, typography and colour theory.
• Player-focused UI design with solid usability principles.
• Able to explain design decisions to artists, designers and engineers.
• Proficient with Figma and Adobe Suite or equivalents.

Rocksteady Studios is looking to add an exceptionally talented UI Artist to its family of staff. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work together with a team of developers in creating high quality user interfaces to deliver an intuitive and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the UI team to create, implement and maintain UI materials, shaders and Unreal Engine UMG that support the established art direction.
• Collaborate on the development of UI visual concepts, wireframes and functional prototypes
• Support on design & user feedback to develop and polish features to a high standard of visual and functional quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience to action effective and practical solutions.

Skill Requirements:

Essential

• Experience designing UI for games, or transferable interactive or product UI experience.
• Experience implementing UI in Unreal Engine or a similar engine.
• Confidence working with widgets, materials, shaders and visual scripting.
• Graphic design fundamentals - layout, iconography, typography and colour theory.
• A player-focused approach to design, with a solid grounding in core UI and usability principles.
• Able to explain and justify design decisions clearly to artists, designers and engineers.
• Confidence with industry-standard design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Suite, or equivalents.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, Skydance / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
