Responsabilités

• Clean, visually inspect, package and label components and vacuum chambers in line with UHV cleaning specifications.
• Carry out leak checks on vacuum chambers.
• Use bead-blasting equipment to remove surface deposits and achieve a high-quality finish.
• Identify and report any faults or defects.
• Follow work instructions and ensure high quality standards.
• Complete tasks within deadlines to support on-time delivery.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment.

UHV Cleaning & Finishing Technician

Location: Near Hailsham, East Sussex

About the role

We're recruiting for a UHV Cleaning & Finishing Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business near Hailsham.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, packaging and labelling precision-engineered components and assemblies to strict Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) standards. You'll also carry out leak checks on vacuum chambers and use bead-blasting equipment to help achieve a high-quality finish.

Attention to detail is essential, as you'll be working with precision components where cleanliness, quality and accuracy are key.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, visually inspect, package and label individual components, sub-assemblies, finished assemblies and vacuum chambers in line with UHV cleaning specifications.
• Carry out leak checks on vacuum chambers.
• Use bead-blasting equipment to remove surface deposits and achieve a high-quality finish.
• Identify and report any faults or defects.
• Follow work instructions and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
• Complete tasks within agreed deadlines to support on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
• Follow all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with other duties as required.

• Previous bead-blasting experience would be an advantage.
