UCL Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth Primary School

Location: Wandsworth, South West London

Contract: September 2025 – July 2026 (Term-Time Only)

Pay: £444.00 per week (PAYE)

Interviews: June/July 2025

Are you a UCL Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to build experience in a primary school ahead of a career in teaching, educational psychology, or child development?

A nurturing primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a UCL Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September. You will work across KS1 and KS2, helping children develop academically and socially through in-class support and targeted interventions.

As a UCL Graduate, you will gain valuable experience working with a range of pupils, including those with additional needs, while contributing to the positive and inclusive culture of the school.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting learning across the curriculum, particularly literacy and numeracy
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence
  • Supporting teachers and SEND professionals across the school
  • A 2:1 or First-Class degree from UCL (or another top university)
  • A patient, adaptable, and caring approach
  • A strong interest in education or child development
  • Full availability from September 2025 – July 2026
