Saab UK is seeking a Flight Test Engineer to manage the preparation and support of flight operations for unmanned aerial vehicles. You will bridge engineering and field testing, driving rigorous evaluation through test planning, flight execution and in-depth analysis within a safety-conscious framework.

The role includes flying or supporting UAV operations, performing data processing and reporting to engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across the testing

Qualifications

• Experience in uncrewed or crewed flight test operations.
• Certification as a UAV pilot.
• Strong ability to interpret flight data and derive engineering feedback.
• Knowledge of Civil/Military aviation regulatory requirements is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and author comprehensive flight test plans, risk assessments and procedures.
• Oversee preparation, ground testing and pre-flight checks of UAVs.
• Lead or support active field flight testing as a UAV pilot.
• Analyse flight data and report findings to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout the testing lifecycle.
