Job summary

Launch Ventures in Glasgow is seeking a skilled UAT Tester with payments domain expertise to join a major investment bank on a contract basis. The role focuses on delivering thorough end-to-end UAT for new enhancements and BAU releases as part of the Market Expansion program in Payments.

You will define UAT scope, design test scenarios for functional, integration, and regression testing, support test automation, and collaborate with Product, Operations, Tech, and Vendor teams to ensure quality

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end UAT for payments or financial domain.
• Ability to design test scenarios including integration and regression.
• Experience with multi-vendor environments.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled UAT Tester with strong Payment’s domain expertise to join a leading Investment Bank in Glasgow. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and success of the Market Expansion program in Payments by delivering thorough end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new enhancements and business-as-usual releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage UAT scope and plans for all releases
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Products, Operations, Technology, and Vendor teams
• Design comprehensive test scenarios covering functional, integration, and regression testing
• Support automation adoption and maintenance of test scripts
• Execute UAT cycles and validate end-to-end business processes
• Identify, log, and manage defects through to resolution
• Own UAT governance, reporting, and adherence to testing standards

knowledge in at least one of the following:

• Payments Domain: ISO 20022 messaging, cross-border and domestic payments, FX/non-FX processing, payment lifecycle and reconciliation
• Liquidity Domain: Cash management, sweeps, liquidity optimization, core banking integration

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with testing tools and governance frameworks
• Basic technical understanding of system architecture, APIs, logs, and backend validation
• Strong analytical, debugging, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in complex, multi-vendor, and release-driven environments
