Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of Shropshire Council for a Social Work Team Manager in the UASC and Pathways service. The role oversees a 7-strong team, chairs multi-agency permanence and risk meetings, and ensures timely care planning and document quality.

The post involves duty-managing the CLA/UASC service, with occasional court attendance and travel for case purposes as required.

Qualifications

Must be a qualified social worker and registered with HCPC.
Experience supervising social workers and managing a team.

Responsibilities

To manage the UASC and Pathways Social Work Team, responsible for UASC and looked after children 16 to 18 years.
Supervise a team of 7 social workers, meeting the requirement for all children to receive supervision on a 4 weekly basis.
To chair multi-agency meetings in relation to permanence planning and risk management, providing comprehensive management oversight to progress young people's plans.
To quality assure key documents and assessments in a timely manner as part of care planning regulations and to meet the needs of the service.
To provide performance oversight for the team, attending a weekly performance meeting to share current data and agree a plan to remedy any outstanding tasks.
To act as a duty manager for the CLA and UASC Service, covering annual leave and staff sickness.
