Job summary

Chelsea FC is seeking an U16 Assistant & Individualisation Coach at Cobham Training Ground to support elite youth development. You will work with the U16 Head Coach and multidisciplinary staff to drive the development journey within the Blue Talent pathway, helping players maximise potential and progress through the Women's Academy pathway.

You'll lead individual coaching, design IDPs and contribute to a high-performance environment across the Academy, ensuring alignment with the club's game

Qualifications

• UEFA B Licence is essential for the role.
• FA Safeguarding Qualification required to ensure player protection.
• FA First Aid Qualification required for on-field safety and medical readiness.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of high-quality training sessions for the U16 squad, aligned to the Club's game model, coaching methodology and player development framework.
• Assist with matchday preparation, player selection, performance analysis and post-match review.
• Provide individual coaching support to players, helping them achieve their development goals.
• Design, implement and monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for players within the Blue Talent programme.
• Set clear, measurable development objectives tailored to each player's position, potential and needs.
• Deliver and oversee individual and small-group coaching interventions.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Action Plans (IAPs).
• Work collaboratively with technical coaching staff to ensure smooth transitions across age groups and development phases.
• Support player progression into senior opportunities through effective planning and communication.
• Collaborate with medical, performance, education and safeguarding colleagues to provide a joined-up approach to player development.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date player development documentation and reporting.
• Build positive relationships with players, parents and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to a positive, professional and high-performance environment across the Academy.
