- To oversee the implementation and delivery of the Club’s game model and coaching methodology across the U15-U16 age groups
- To lead on the technical delivery of all training and games for the U15-U16 age groups
- To lead and co-ordinate on all aspects of the Academy Training Programme for staff and players in the U15-U16 programme
Role Accountabilities & Key Duties
- To oversee the implementation of the Club’s game model and coaching methodology across the U15-U16 age groups.
- To support the Methodology Manager (Academy) in the development and monitoring of the Club’s game model and coaching methodology in the U15-U16 age groups.
- To work alongside the Methodology Manager (Academy) in designing and delivering age-appropriate coaching curriculums for U15-U16 players.
- To lead on the technical delivery of all training and games for the U15-U16 age groups.
- To drive technical development across; group sessions, individual coaching, and video analysis.
- To create and deliver Individual Development Plans (IDP’s) for every player within the U15-U16 age groups.
- To enter all coaching sessions, fixtures/game time, game plan reports, learning objectives and development reports, and other necessary work as required, on Kit Man Labs and other Club systems.
- To support the Methodology Manager (Academy) in delivering Development Action Plans (DAPs) for U15-U16 coaches.
- To observe U12-U14 sessions and fixtures to ensure that staff are supported with delivery methods.
- To work with the Methodology Manager (Academy) on the design and delivery of Academy learning and development events
- To design and manage the Pathway Plans for all U15-U16 academy players.
- To regularly observe and coach U13 and U14 games to be able to make informed suggestions on the progression of players in the pathway.
- To support the delivery of review meetings with players & parents/carers in line with EPPP requirements.
- To monitor & manage the data entry of U15-U16 coaching staff.
- To provide line-management and mentoring support to all U15-U16 coaches
- To conduct performance appraisals for direct reports
- To promote a culture of innovation across the Coaching Department, ensuring that regular research is conducted into new ways of working.
- To undertake personal CPD as appropriate to meet the demands of the role.
- To deliver all other duties that may arise from time to time and fall within the scope of this position.
- To have or develop an impeccable knowledge of safeguarding best practice to include a deep understanding of safeguarding children’s regulations, including legislation & governing body rules.
- To ensure that any safeguarding or welfare concerns are reporting efficiently.
- To comply with all company policies/procedures and adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety, and security.

- Current FA Safeguarding Certificate

- Full UK Driving Licence
Skills, Knowledge & Experience- Experience of coaching elite players across all phases
- IT skills to include a very high level of competence using Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint & Kit Man Labs.
- Good overall level of numeracy and literacy
- Ability to liaise empathetically and effectively with young players, parents, scouts, coaches and Club senior managers.
- A professional “can do” attitude with strong organisational and administrative skills.
