Job summary
Octane Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a fast-growing UK automotive business to recruit a Tyre Technician for their Carlisle retail centre. You will carry out tyre fitting, repairs and support with brakes, exhausts and basic servicing.
They offer training and progression opportunities, with a salary of £29,000–£32,000 depending on experience, plus an expected £3,600 bonus. Working hours are 08:30–17:30, Monday to Friday, with Saturday on a rota.
Qualifications
- NVQ/IMI Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of tyre technician experience.
- Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months – Essential.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out accurate tyre fitting, replacements and repairs.
- Completing fast-fit mechanical work, including exhaust and brake repairs and replacements.
- Carrying out basic servicing work.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry-leading standards.
- Ensuring customers' vehicles are left clean and free from dirt, oil or marks from work carried out.
- Working with the workshop team to achieve targets.
- Working safely in line with health and safety procedures.
