Job summary

Client Server is seeking a TypeScript Developer / Backend Software Engineer in Cambridge with hybrid working options. You will design and develop backend services primarily in TypeScript for a security-focused product, collaborating across teams to move ideas from prototype to production.

You’ll operate in a fast-paced R&D environment with ownership of features, robust engineering practices, and opportunities to learn and grow with modern tech like Kubernetes and cloud-native stacks.

Qualifications

• Strong backend TypeScript experience is required.
• Experience with containerisation and Kubernetes is essential.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices is desirable.

Responsibilities

TypeScript Developer / Backend Software Engineer (TypeScript) Cambridge / WFH to £70k

Are you a backend focussed TypeScript Developer?

You could be progressing your career at one of the world's leading cyber security technology companies, where you'll help develop next generation software that protects organisations from increasingly sophisticated AI driven cyber threats.

As a TypeScript Developer you'll design and develop backend services for the customer portal, primarily using TypeScript. Working in a highly collaborative engineering environment, you'll take ideas from rapid prototypes through to robust, production ready systems, helping to shape both the product and the underlying technology.

The role offers plenty of scope for technical ownership, innovation and continuous learning within a fast paced R&D environment.

Location / WFH:

You'll join a highly talented, diverse team in the Cambridge office twice a week where you can enjoy a great team atmosphere with free lunches and problem solving sessions.

About you:

• You have strong backend TypeScript experience
• You're familiar with containerisation using Kubernetes
• You have a good appreciation of building secure applications
• You have advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
• You have strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
• Experience with Python and / or Rust is desirable but not essential
