Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. in Sheffield offers a Salaried Teacher Training Programme starting in January, with you joining a secondary school as a Cover Supervisor in Year 1 and earning £23,000-£27,000 per year.

In Year 2 you progress to trainee teacher status, plan and deliver lessons, complete your PGCE and secure QTS, all within the same Sheffield school. Hands-on experience and mentoring are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to becoming a teacher.

Responsibilities

• Year 1: supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement.
• Develop effective classroom management techniques.
• Build relationships with pupils and staff.
• Work alongside experienced teachers and mentors.
• Year 2: plan and deliver your own lessons.
• Develop teaching style and classroom practice.
• Assess pupil progress and provide feedback.
• Complete PGCE and work towards QTS.
