Overview

Two Associate Professorships or Professorships of Computer Science (with Tutorial Fellowships)

Department of Computer Science, Wolfson Building, Parks Road, Oxford

Salary on the Associate Professor Scale (plus substantial benefits including college housing allowance).

Responsibilities
  • Undertake original research in Computer Science and secure funding to support the Department’s research activities.
  • Teach and supervise at the Department of Computer Science and the College, and undertake Trustee duties (as a member of the Governing Body) at the College.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
  • Ability to teach across a range of Computer Science subjects and a proven research track record of internationally high quality.
  • Ability to enthuse and inspire students at both undergraduate and graduate levels through tutorials, classes, lectures, and supervision.
Appointments

The University uses the grade of Associate Professor for most academic appointments. Appointments to Associate can include those at the start of their careers directly from PhD, as well as more established researchers. Each post is associated with a Tutorial Fellowship at Brasenose College or Wadham College.
