About The Role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a twilight veterinary receptionist to join our team at Streatham Hill Vet Surgery. If you're a passionate and experienced Veterinary Receptionist seeking slightly different hours from the usual '9 to 5', look no further!

Our practice is renowned for delivering exceptional care and service to our clients' pets. We pride ourselves on providing the best veterinary care in a warm, welcoming environment for our teams, patients, and their owners.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, greeting them with a smile and giving their pets a fuss! You'll assist with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing general support.

Your day may include:

  • Welcoming clients and their pets
  • Booking appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
  • Promoting our Healthcare Plan for preventative pet care
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments
  • Supporting the Vet and Nurse team with queries
  • Scanning paperwork onto digital records
  • Liaising with clients about appointments and medication
  • Ordering food and medication
  • Processing payments immediately after treatments
  • Handling 0% finance applications for larger procedures
  • Managing the reception desk efficiently, including emails and social media

This is a full-time position with flexible hours, typically 4pm-12am on weekdays and a 1:4 weekend rota (4pm-12am on Saturdays and Sundays). We are open to adjusting hours to suit your needs.

About You

  • Experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role in veterinary practice
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • A love for animals and a commitment to excellent client service
  • Proficiency in computer systems; experience with RxWorks is a big plus
