Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a flexible twilight role within a dynamic and highly skilled referral hospital? We’re launching a new twilight position designed to support key areas across our multidisciplinary hospital in the busy late afternoons and evenings. This role offers variety, flexibility, and hands-on experience across a range of departments - ideal for nurses who want to build their referral knowledge without committing to overnight shifts.

The teamDick White Referrals is a large multidisciplinary referral practice with over 60 nurses supporting patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This brand-new Twilight Registered Veterinary Nurse role will work across multiple departments depending on where support is needed most - offering significant opportunity for learning, exposure, and clinical development. You’ll work under a named line manager but rotate within small, supportive teams and interact with day and night teams alike. You’ll never work in isolation - but confidence, initiative, and adaptability are key for this role.

What we’re looking for- Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
- Minimum of one year post-registration experience (essential)
- Previous general practice or emergency and critical care experience is desirable
- Confidence working independently and across multiple clinical areas
- A strong communicator who thrives in a dynamic, rotating team environment

About the roleThis is a unique twilight position, with working hours falling between late morning and midnight. Shift times will be finalised based on applicant availability but must consistently support end-of-day care across the hospital. You will be trained and rotated through all major departments including:
- Surgical, medical, and oncology wards
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Emergency and critical care (as training progresses)
- Imaging and anaesthesia (with support and upskilling where required)
This is an ideal role for a nurse with a general practice background, some emergency care exposure, and a desire to step into a fast-paced referral setting while retaining a healthy work-life balance.
