Hutchinson Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for Twilight shifts in Antrim. You will provide compassionate personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities while maintaining residents’ dignity and independence.

You will follow policies, attend training, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality care. Experience in healthcare is valued; good communication and a professional attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and caring disposition essential.
• Excellent observation and initiative required.
• At least 1 year experience in healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to residents’ needs.
• Team player with reliable and professional approach.
• Punctual, well-presented and trustworthy.
• Physically fit to carry out care duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care (dressing, washing, eating).
• Provide companionship to residents.
• Share care plan information with families professionally.
• Follow infection control, safeguarding, and safety procedures.
• Report incidents to management promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Be flexible to work across care homes as needed.
• Support residents’ needs and wishes.
• Administer medication under supervision.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure high care standards.
• Attend required training and meetings.
• Assist with records and documentation for residents’ care.
