Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  1. Create and implement product marketing plans for a TV category to meet critical metrics.
  2. Develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing, distribution, product mix, and promotional recommendations.
  3. Lineup management – directly manage a specific TV product segment, including lineup optimization and initiatives targeted at driving operational efficiency or responding to market challenges.
  4. Price administration – support, manage, or direct the management of pricing strategies by product and segment; manage promotional roadmap for assigned products to drive sales, market share, and meet market forecasts.
  5. Sales and P&L Analysis – analyze sales forecasts and monitor sales and marketing investments to maintain accurate target plans and inventory balance, achieving business P&L goals.
  6. Forecasting and Inventory Monitoring and Optimization – prepare and own forecasts for assigned categories; collaborate with supply chain, sales, and customers to ensure appropriate inventory levels throughout the product lifecycle and timely end-of-life strategies.
  7. Track weekly product sales data by account and SKU to manage forecasts and resolve sales challenges (e.g., recommend pricing adjustments, suggest removal of products, provide data-driven recommendations to retailers).
  8. Collaborate with sales teams and customers to understand retailer strategies and challenges, providing marketing support for successful selling.
  9. Conduct sales and supply chain meetings, develop weekly forecasts, and confirm sales estimates to ensure supply chain efficiency and appropriate inventory levels.
  10. Work with the Training team to create training materials for sales associates.
  11. Pitch product lineup features and strategies at key customer meetings and events.
  12. Conduct competitive market analysis using various systems and online research.

What does success look like?

After 3 months: Establish connections, gain deep knowledge of Samsung and competitors’ product lineups, and take ownership of areas within the TV category.

After 6 months: Fully own these areas, work independently, and build relationships with partners.

After 12 months: Independently drive the TV business, identify opportunities and risks, and build strong relationships across functions within the UK/European office and HQ. Become an expert on Samsung products and competitor offerings.
