The Royal College of Art is the world’s leading postgraduate university of art and design, with a long-standing reputation for excellence in teaching, research and innovation. Founded in 1837, the RCA brings together a diverse international community of artists, designers, researchers and practitioners working at the forefront of their fields.
The School of Communication and Design explores design across a broad spectrum, from industry-focused practice and collaboration with engineering and science, to experimental and theoretical approaches.
The MA/MDes Intelligent Mobility Design programme builds on the RCA’s rich history in vehicle and mobility design, exploring the profound social, cultural and technological changes shaping the future of mobility. The programme considers areas including autonomous systems, renewable power, demographic change and the evolving relationship between people and technology.
Working closely with industry, the programme challenges conventional approaches to mobility and explores new possibilities for future mobility artefacts, experiences, brands and markets.
We are seeking an outstanding vehicle or automotive designer with recent commercial experience either from an OEM or design consultancy background, to join the Intelligent Mobility Design masters programme and play an integral role within the wider Intelligent Mobility Design Centre (IMDC).
