Job Description:

Prospero Teaching is looking for an Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people who are not attending school.

As an Outreach Tutor, you must be able to create, plan, and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in pupils’ education, boosting engagement and attainment levels. This role is ideal for experienced teachers seeking a more personalized and engaging teaching environment.

Many pupils may have been out of education for some time, so their confidence levels might be low. Your role is to reengage them in learning and help reintroduce structure into their routines.

Prospero Teaching will support you in monitoring each pupil's progress and ensuring effective learning.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location – Various locations across Havering
• Position – Outreach Tutor
• Type of work – Contract
• Duration – Dependent on each student's needs
• Contract type – Temporary
• Full time/part time – Depending on availability
• Minimum pay rate – £25 per hour
• Hours – Sessions can vary from 1 to 3 hours

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or equivalent, or tutoring and lesson planning experience
• 6+ months experience working in a UK school (desirable but not essential)
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
