Tutor (Life Sciences): This is an 18 month post based in the Department of Life Sciences ideally starting in May 2025.

About Us:

Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK's largest and most popular Universities.

The Department of Life Sciences is one of the largest in the University attracting large numbers of students on a range of foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. At undergraduate level, we offer degrees in Biomedical Science, Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences) and Human Physiology. There are taught postgraduate programmes in Biomedical Science, Clinical Sciences and Human Physiology. The Department also delivers a Level 8 DClinSci programme. The Department resides within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and benefits from spacious, modern and well-equipped teaching and research facilities having benefitted from significant recent and on-going investment.

About You:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is committed to providing an excellent learning experience for our students in the Department of Life Sciences.

You will:

  • have an academic background with expertise and experience in a relevant area of Life Sciences; however, applications from candidates with experience in cell biology and/or blood sciences are particularly welcomed.
  • have a first degree in a relevant discipline and a PhD (or near completion) in a relevant field.
  • be confident in teaching Life Sciences at foundation and undergraduate levels.
