Job description

KS2 Intervention Tutor

We are recruiting for Fully Qualified Teachers, HLTA, SEN and SEMH specialists, for KS2 Primary Intervention Tutor roles in Northampton.

Role expectations:

  • Plan your own tuition sessions in English and Maths, following the UK curriculum.
  • Create stimulating resources tailored towards individual learners’ abilities, needs and interests.
  • Deliver sessions on a 1:1 or group basis, in learners’ homes, care homes or local libraries.
  • Generate Ed Place Assessments to gauge learners’ current levels and identify gaps in their understanding.
  • Use our reporting platform (LEAP) to record sessions, monitor progress and attendance.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to your Teaching Personnel consultant.

You must:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience, teaching the UK curriculum.
  • Be able to plan sessions and create resources independently.
  • Have experience working with young people with SEN or SEMH needs.
  • Build a rapport with young people to create a safe learning environment and a holistic approach to learning.
