Job summary

Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking a lecturer to teach environmental management, environmental science and geography at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while supervising student research projects and supporting learners.

You will contribute to a flexible, inclusive teaching environment and collaborate with colleagues and external partners to deliver a range of teaching methods.

Qualifications

• A good first degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications.
• Expertise in environmental disciplines such as environmental management and/or environmental science, including knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Experience in teaching and supporting students.

You will join a dynamic team teaching on a range of environmental management, environmental science and geography courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will help supervise students in undergraduate and postgraduate level research projects.

Essential

• A good first degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications.
• Expertise in environmental disciplines such as environmental management and/or environmental science. This would include knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Experience in teaching and supporting students.

Desirable

• Knowledge of web-based learning methods and relevant packages (e.g. Moodle).

You will have a strong commitment to supporting students and working in partnership with colleagues and external partners and have experience of a range of teaching methods.
