Job summary

Kids Planet Day Nurseries is seeking an experienced Tutor/Assessor to deliver Apprenticeships in Early Years up to level 5, including Functional Skills and CPD training. Roles across the South of England (Oxford, Bristol, London) with occasional travel from our Knutsford head office.

The ideal candidate will hold an assessor award (D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA) or be willing to work towards it, plus a Level 3/4 teaching qualification.

Qualifications

• Assessor award such as D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA (or willing to work towards).
• Qualified teacher in Education and Training (Level 3/4 or equivalent) desirable.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support learners across early years employers working towards Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare up to level 3 (and ideally Level 5).
• Deliver face-to-face, online group and 1:1 tutorials at selected settings.
• Observe learners in their setting to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship.
• Plan and implement initial assessments and course reviews; create learner portfolios on one file to agreed standards.
• Deliver and assess functional skills (Maths/English/ICT) up to Level 2.
• Design and deliver CPD courses to internal staff.
• Liaise with nursery managers/mentors to maximise evidence collection.
• Manage your diary to ensure timely visits and reviews.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.

With the ongoing successful growth of Kids Planet Day Nurseries Training Academy, we are pleased to announce we are looking to recruit an experienced & qualified Tutor/Assessor with solid occupational experience within the Early Years sector to deliver Apprenticeship standards up to level 5 including Functional Skills up to level 2 and CPD training primarily. We have various roles across the South of England including Oxford, Bristol and London. Our head office is based in Knutsford, and occasional travel will be required for training and meetings. (Expenses paid)

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

The Ideal Applicant Will Possess

• A recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA. (or willing to work towards)
• Recognised teaching qualification: e.g. Level 3/4 Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent (desirable)
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in early years
• Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare levels 2/3 and ideally level 5
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Maths / English/ICT) up to level 2.
• Hold solid occupational competency within Early Years - It would also be an advantage if candidates hold experience of Team Leading, Management and QA /IV award
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
