Job summary

Kids Planet Day Nurseries Training Academy is recruiting an experienced Tutor/Assessor with solid occupational experience in the Early Years sector to deliver Apprenticeships up to level 5 and Functional Skills to level 2, plus CPD training across the UK. Occasional travel is required; expenses paid.

A recognised Assessor award and teaching qualification are preferred, with Level 3 Early Years as a minimum.

Qualifications

• Assessor delivering Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare up to level 5 and Functional Skills to level 2.
• Observing learners in their settings and gathering evidence for Apprenticeship progress.
• Delivering face to face and online tutorials and preparing learner portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support learners working toward Apprenticeships in Early Years.
• Observe learners in their settings to gather evidence for portfolios.
• Plan and implement initial assessments and course reviews; manage learner progress records.
• Deliver and assess Functional Skills (Maths/English/ICT) up to level 2 and provide CPD to staff.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners progress and provide motivation and support.

Job description

With the ongoing successful growth of Kids Planet Day Nurseries Training Academy, we are pleased to announce we are looking to recruit an experienced & qualified Tutor/Assessor with solid occupational experience within the Early Years sector to deliver Apprenticeship standards up to level 5 including Functional Skills up to level 2 and CPD training primarily. We have various roles across the United Kingdom. Our head office is based in Knutsford, and occasional travel will be required for training and meetings. (Expenses paid) Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

• Assess and support learners across early years employers working towards Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare up to level 3 (and ideally Level 5). This will include delivering face to face, online group and 1:1 tutorials at selected settings
• Observing learners in their setting to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship
• Planning and implementing initial assessments and course reviews with learners - Creating learner portfolios on one file to agreed standards
• Delivery and assessment of pertinent functional skills
• Design and delivery of CPD courses to internal staff
• Close liaison with nursery managers/mentors to maximise efficient collection of evidence
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners. A recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA. (or willing to work towards)
• Recognised teaching qualification: e.g. Level 3/4 Certificate in Education and Training or equivalent (desirable)
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in early years
• Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Early Years Childcare levels 2/3 and ideally level 5
• Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Maths / English/ICT) up to level 2.
• Hold solid occupational competency within Early Years - It would also be an advantage if candidates hold experience of Team Leading, Management and QA /IV award
• Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
