Tutor - Doncaster

Salary: 34,058 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week (Term-time only)
Location: Doncaster

About the role:

As a Tutor, you'll deliver engaging and practical teaching to students aged 18-25 with Autism and complex needs, using a therapeutic and supportive approach. Your sessions will focus on developing independence, employment skills, community participation, and overall wellbeing-preparing learners for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, student-focused lessons linked to real-life skills
  • Support progress through assessment, tracking, and regular reporting
  • Organise community-based learning and work experience activities
  • Work closely with support staff, families, and external partners
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and ensure learning is tailored to individual needs
  • Ensure all learning environments are safe and inclusive
  • Maintain up-to-date planning, resources, and risk assessments
  • Support college-wide events and contribute to positive student transitions

About You:
You'll have relevant SEND teaching experience in a college setting and a strong understanding of EHCP targets. Flexibility to teach across curriculum areas and a collaborative approach working with care teams, parents, and partners are essential.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a qualified teacher or working towards an appropriate qualification starting within 6 months of commencing in role with a view of completion within 2 years of starting.
  • Must have a clean driving licence and the ability to drive a mini van
