Location:Stockton

Salary:£20 - £28 Per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Job Description:

We are looking for passionate and committed Tutors to provide tailored support and guidance to students with special educational needs in English and Maths at Key Stage 3/4 level. Duties will include creating individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other education professionals to ensure students' academic success.

Required Qualifications / experience:

  • Relevant teaching qualification –QTS is desirable.
  • A degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEMH, ASD, ADHD, Behaviours that challenge).
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3/4 English and Maths curriculum.

Required knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tuition sessions will take place in either the students’ homes or local Community Hubs/Libraries, liaising with parents and other education professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
