Overview

Are you someone who has excellent communication skills with an interest in education? Can you show empathy to students from diverse backgrounds with additional needs? We are looking for an enthusiastic tutor/educator who can be a part of our team in Randstad.

Specifically we have a requirement for someone to work with a young KS3 male in the home, who has additional needs including Autism & Learning Difficulties. This would be to work part time to support with core subjects (Maths, English & Science) to up to around 20 hours per week.

Here at Randstad, we are collaborating closely with local authorities in and around Newtonmore who are seeking additional tutoring assistance for their students in Maths, English, and Science. We warmly welcome motivated individuals who work with children in the area who are passionate about entering the field of education. It would be ideal if you already possess an enhanced DBS/PVG on the update service or are willing to obtain one.

We\'re looking for individuals interested in teaching any of the following subjects:

Secondary: Maths, English, and Science.

Responsibilities
  • Developing personalized lesson plans based on each student\'s learning style
  • Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement, and recording achievement levels using our internal reporting system
  • Delivering engaging sessions that cater to a variety of learning styles
  • Achieving measurable outcomes from each session to assess impact
  • Collaborating with educational and care stakeholders to ensure student support
  • Adhering to KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.
Requirements and Qualities

Desired experience includes:

  • Previous experience tutoring one-to-one or small groups of students needing additional educational or pastoral support
  • Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback gracefully
  • Experience working in inclusion units, special settings, or alternative provisions
  • Familiarity with supporting students with SEN, undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people, or looked-after children.

Your essential qualities should include:

  • Inspirational, effective, and adaptable communication skills
  • Proficiency in IT skills, access to a laptop/computer, and audio-visual capabilities
  • Reliable broadband and internet connection
  • Ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and motivate students.
