LAC Tutor Wanted – Market Harbough | Support Vulnerable Young Learners

Location:Market Harborough and surrounding areas
Rate:£25–£30 per hour (DOE)
Hours:Part-time / Flexible

We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and adaptableLAC Tutorto supportLooked After Children(LAC) in Market Harborough and the surrounding areas.

This rewarding role involves providing1:1 tuitionto children in care who may be outside mainstream education or require additional support to catch up. You will play a vital part in helping these young people achieve academic progress and rebuild their confidence in learning.

About the Role:

  • Deliver bespoke educational sessions (primarily in English and Maths)
  • Support learners aged 5–18, across KS1 to KS4 (age and level depending)
  • Sessions may take place in the home, school, or a neutral setting
  • Complete brief reports tracking student progress

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk young people
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum (especially English and Maths)
  • A teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or relevant tutoring experience
  • An enhanced DBS certificate (or willing to obtain one)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
