Job summary

A leading adult education provider in Dartford seeks a Tutor for Adult Education. You will deliver high-quality learning sessions tailored to adult learners. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, assessing progress, and supporting personal development. Ideal candidates have teaching experience, excellent communication skills, and a recognised teaching qualification. This position offers 21 hours per week at a rate of £15.76 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching or training adults is preferred.
• Must teach entry level maths and English ESOL.

Job Title: Tutor - Adult Education

Location:

Dartford Adult Education Centre

Working Days/Hours:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
08:30 - 16:30 (21 hours per week)

Salary:

15.76 per hour

Job Purpose:

To deliver high-quality learning sessions that meet the needs of learners, support their personal development, and help them achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in your subject area

• Create a positive and supportive learning environment

• Monitor and assess learner progress, providing feedback and guidance

• Work collaboratively with the centre staff and support services

Requirements:

• Experience in teaching or training adults (preferred)

• Must be willing to teach entry level maths as well as the English ESOL

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Organised, reliable, and able to work independently

• A recognised teaching qualification
