Job summary

Tutor My Kids is seeking qualified teachers and experienced tutors in English, Maths and Science to provide one-to-one tutoring throughout the academic year. The role involves face-to-face teaching in allocated spaces outside of school and requires a flexible commitment.

Ideal candidates will engage learners creatively, adapt to individual needs, and have a good working knowledge of the National Curriculum. Roles include afterschool and home visits, with two to three days per week.

Qualifications

Tutor My Kids

Tutor My Kids is a Local Authority Registered Alternative Provision, supporting children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education. Our tutors are at the heart of what we do, providing high-quality, personalised tuition that can make a genuine difference to a young person's education and wellbeing.

We are looking for qualified teachers and experienced tutors in English, Maths and Science to provide one-to-one teaching and mentoring throughout the academic year.

The role is ideal for both Primary and Secondary trained teachers, and those with experience supporting learners with additional needs.

• Are supportive, patient and compassionate
• Are confident and experienced delivering one-to-one tuition
• Are able to work flexibly around individual learner needs
• Have a good working knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Enjoy building positive relationships with young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning

The role

The post requires face to face teaching in allocated spaces outside of school, during school hours, with a minimum of a term's commitment and upwards of two to three days availability per week. We also work with students afterschool and in the family home.
