Home Tutor Position with TeacherActive

TeacherActive, one of the leading SEND recruitment agencies, is seeking a dedicated Home Tutor to support children and young people with special needs. We collaborate with Local Authorities to provide high-quality education for students aged 6 to 18 with MLD, ASD, and ADHD.

We are urgently looking for a positive, enthusiastic Home Tutor to start immediately. The role focuses on core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science/Primary curriculum. Hours are flexible, part-time or full-time, and involve working with students in their homes or in public settings. The ideal candidate will be confident and adaptable, capable of supporting students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5, helping them achieve their goals through one-to-one support.

Requirements

• Previous tutoring experience
• QTS or ECTs are welcome to apply
• Experience working with MLD, ASD, and ADHD
• Calm, patient, and caring personality
• Understanding of child and adult protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience supporting students individually or in small groups
