Job summary

ACH is a social enterprise in the UK delivering ESOL and functional skills to refugees and migrants. We are hiring a full-time Tutor on a 1-year fixed-term contract, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will design engaging lessons, assess progress, and help learners gain recognised qualifications while upholding safeguarding and equality. This role offers a supportive culture, development opportunities and flexible working where possible.

Qualifications

  • A teaching qualification.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience within the FE and/or training sector, delivering high-quality learning including accredited learning.
  • Experience working to quality assurance and compliance requirements, especially with regard to Ofsted.
  • Knowledge of FE and other employment intervention programmes, including their background and operation.
  • Knowledge of the expectations of the Ofsted Inspection framework.
  • Practical ICT knowledge and experience, including use of funder-specific CRM systems.
  • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in Arabic, in addition to English, would be beneficial to your application.

  • Assessing learners’ work, you will provide clear, developmental feedback to support progress, accreditation and progression into further learning or employment.
  • You will create a positive and supportive learning environment, promoting strong attendance, participation and achievement while embedding safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion and British Values throughout your teaching.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, ILPs, progress reviews and achievement data
  • Follow up with learners following non-attendance
  • Capture and evaluate learner feedback and exit information

We are now looking for a Tutor to join us on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, for a one year fixed-term contract.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

To be considered as a Tutor, you will need:
