Job Description:

Responsibilities

As a Pensions Executive, you'll work on multiple clients across our portfolio in consultation with the Assistant Director / Partner, following EY policies and protocols.

You will be responsible for drafting client deliverables across various engagements, reporting to the Assistant Director or directly to the engagement Partner or Director when necessary. You will project manage engagements, communicate issues to the Partner / Director, and drive projects to completion with support from senior staff.

Building relationships is vital, both within EY with different specialist teams and externally with clients and legal professionals. Relationship-building is a valued skill in Pensions.

You will also integrate into our positive learning culture from day one, bringing your skills and knowledge to coach others and help develop junior team members.

• Financial analysis and scenario modelling to support decision-making and understand drivers of corporate failure or underperformance.
• Commercial acumen—applying insights from client work to broader business contexts.
• Ability to identify key issues and suggest practical solutions.
• Experience in presenting findings clearly in reports and deliverables.
• Managing financial aspects of engagements, including staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in the Pensions industry or a similar advisory role.
• Understanding of defined benefit pension schemes and their financial risks.
• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
• Awareness of risks involved in advising businesses and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within a recognized pensions covenant advisory team.
• Experience in people development, supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
• Existing network of contacts or understanding of building one.
