A specialist health and social care provider in Greater London seeks a Turkish Interpreter to work on a self-employed basis. Forest Lodge is looking for a Turkish Interpreterto work on self-employed basis who can help us to meet the needs of our service user.
About the role
The role of the Interpreter is to facilitate communication between people, who do not have a language in common. The interpreters duty is to convey the sense and meaning of what is said to enable an effective two-way communication.
We need the successful candidate to come in 2 days per week, for 2 hours at a time (plus ad hoc times to facilitate doctors appointments etc.) to translate for one of our Service User.
Responsibilities
• Provide an accurate, confidential and impartial interpreting service
• Be punctual, reliable, confident, enthusiastic and professional
• Remain impartial and unbiased, to exhibit courtesy towards the service user
Requirements
• Proficient in Turkish language (written and spoken)
• Proficient in English language (written and spoken)
• Full right to work in the UK
• Excellent organisation skills
• Recognised interpreting qualifications (DPSI, CIOL, NRPSI)
