Turf Care Advisory (TCA) Support Executive Part Time 18.5 hours per week

Organisation: Grounds Management Association

Salary: Up to £11,750 (full-time equivalent of £23,500 per annum) plus pension, employee assistance programme, life assurance cover, 12.5 days (full-time equivalent of 25 days per annum) annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas closure.

Location: Home-based with attendance at the GMA’s office in Milton Keynes and other locations as agreed with the line manager.

Contract type: Permanent (Part-time)

Job Description

GMA is seeking a part-time Turf Care Advisory Support Executive to join our expanding team. The role involves providing administrative support and logistical assistance for the delivery and development of the GMA’s Turf Care Advisory Service.

Reporting to the Turf Care Advisory Lead, key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting ongoing GMA TCA work and exploring future opportunities.
  2. Responding to enquiries from consultants, contractors, associates, and clients.
  3. Assisting in research for new consultancy opportunities.
  4. Supporting the development of records for bids and proposals.
  5. Updating client information in the CRM system.
  6. Preparing agendas and taking notes in meetings.
  7. Supporting the development of quality consultancy outputs.
  8. Managing the job system and generating reports on job delivery and trends.
  9. Preparing contracts and invoices, and producing related documentation.
  10. Providing administrative support for the network of associates and consultants.
  11. Supporting the evaluation and follow-up of consultancies.
  12. Assisting marketing efforts for the TCA service in coordination with internal teams.
  13. Performing general administrative duties.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in administration and records keeping.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM, LMS, and databases.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Approximately 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a land-based association or membership organization.
  • Experience in setting up office systems and working remotely.
  • Familiarity with producing promotional and display materials, and using social media for communication.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities tactfully and diplomatically, respecting confidentiality.
