Job Description:

Join the Audi F1 Project, competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. Our team has locations in Neuburg (Germany), Hinwil (Switzerland), and the UK, focusing on high-performance engine development.

We seek a Turbocharger Development Engineer specializing in CFD simulation to work at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany. Your role involves optimizing the combustion process and turbocharging of high-performance engines, ensuring maximum performance, efficiency, and reliability through development, testing, and calibration.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop combustion processes and gas exchange via 3D CFD simulations
  • Perform thermodynamic development of engine gas exchange, combustion, and flow simulations of intake & exhaust systems
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with detailed reports
  • Correlate simulation data with engine and test bench measurements
  • Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data analysis
Your Profile:
  • Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  • Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development and CFD simulation
  • Strong knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tools
  • Experience with test bench data handling
  • Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and responsibility
  • Independent, precise work practices
  • Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language
