The position for the Audi F1 Project is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In internal combustion engine development, you will work on the combustion process and calibration of a high-performance powertrain. Your task is to develop maximum performance and efficiency of the engine in areas of combustion processes, turbocharging, and calibration, while ensuring reliability. You will perform development measures during the concept, design, commissioning, and testing phases.

Your Mission
  1. Development of combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations
  2. Thermodynamic development of the internal combustion engine gas-exchange, combustion phase, and flow simulation of intake & exhaust systems
  3. Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reports
  4. Correlate measurement data from engine operation and test benches
  5. Improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and test data correlation
Your Profile
  1. Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.)
  2. Several years of experience in internal combustion development (3D CFD simulation)
  3. Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development tool chains
