Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking reliable Tug Drivers to join our Hull operation, moving trailers and units in a busy port and yard setting.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, with training provided. You will work 12-hour shifts, including days, nights & weekends, and participate in ongoing safety checks and team coordination.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is required.
• Previous tug/shunter experience is preferred, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• We’re looking for dependable, safety-conscious individuals who can work in a busy outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operating a tug/shunter unit to move trailers and units around the yard
• Supporting loading and unloading operations where required
• Working closely with supervisors and yard teams to maintain an efficient workflow
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
• Reporting any vehicle defects or safety concerns promptly
• Ensuring all vehicle movements are completed safely and in line with site procedures
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Following all company and site health & safety requirements

Pay: £15.42 per hour following successful completion of training

About the Role

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Tug Drivers to join our busy operations team in Hull.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced port and yard environment, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers, containers and units across the site.

You’ll work as part of a busy team, helping to keep daily operations running smoothly while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a tug/shunter unit to move trailers and units around the yard
