Qualifications

About the role

About you

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out testing, benchmarking and other tasks related to proofing of developments in the TUFLOW software in liaison with the TUFLOW R&D team.
  • Provision of technical support and assistance for TUFLOW users within the UK, Europe.
  • Making judgements and recommendations on technical matters related to TUFLOW software.
  • Liaison with users, potential and current, to ensure a positive user experience.
  • Assisting in the provision of technical training courses.
  • Developing and demonstrating a sound knowledge of TUFLOW, associated systems and hydraulic/environmental modelling processes.
  • Provision of input as required on sales, marketing and technical tasks and other projects as required.
  • Adherence to quality, safety and environmental procedures/standards.
  • Contribution to or author technical papers as well as conference presentations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant area of study (Geography, Mathematics).
  • Minimum 2 years’ UK experience post-graduation in hydraulic modelling for flood risk management including the use of TUFLOW.
  • A desire to gain knowledge and understanding in environmental modelling including coastal, sediment transport and water quality modelling.
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) particularly QGIS, ArcMap and/or MapInfo.
  • Customer facing attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates initiative and takes a proactive approach to tasks.

This role would be based from either our Leeds or London office with hybrid working.
