Job summary

Rapiscan Systems is seeking an experienced Tube Assembly Technician - Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on precision TIG welding in the tube production area, assembling large X-ray tubes with strict quality standards.

You'll take responsibility for health, safety, and maintaining clean room environments, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and meet production targets through meticulous workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experienced in TIG welding and precision fabrication.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Able to work independently and support different production areas.
• UHV technology, autogenous welding, UHV leak testing, and clean room experience are advantageous
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• 5S and continuous improvement experience beneficial.
• Trained in compressed gas handling procedures.
• HNC/ONC in an Engineering or Scientific discipline desirable but not essential.
