Esland Care is seeking a "Turning the Curve" Teacher to deliver tutoring to small groups and on a 1-1 basis at our children's homes in Shropshire, based at our SEN school in Ditton Priors.
You will support children aged 8-18 with SEMH and complex needs.
The role
We are looking for an outstanding, committed, and motivated qualified practitioner to enhance teaching and learning within our homes and schools.
Our approach focuses on "Turning the Curve" for our children and young people. We provide high-quality education in safe, respectful, and inclusive environments, aiming to build skills and achieve successful outcomes.
Students can work towards qualifications such as Entry Level, Functional Skills, GCSEs, ASDAN, or Unit Awards, depending on their abilities and aspirations.

What we need from you:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or Level 3 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or nearing qualification
- Experience in the specialist education sector, especially with young people with SEMH
- Experience working with challenging young people
- Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects
- Experience in one-to-one and small group tutoring
- Passionate about inclusion, conscientious, and committed
- Knowledge of results-based accountability in care and education
- Ability to plan, evaluate, and monitor learning and progress
- Skill in differentiating learning to promote inclusion and attainment
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and support staff
- Highly organized with effective prioritization skills
- Resilience, stamina, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude towards hard work and challenges
- Full UK driving license and own vehicle
- A good sense of humor
