Job description

  • Remote: The postholder’s usual place of work will be based at home; however, the role requires working with third sector organisations across the Perth & Kinross region, and regular meetings with the team are expected.
  • Closing date: 20th May 2025
  • Advertised from: 6th May 2025
  • 24 hours per week – Monday to Friday. This is a fixed-term position until 31 March 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Role

We are the Third Sector Interface for Perth & Kinross. Our mission is to ensure that all third sector organisations across Perth & Kinross are connected, have a voice, and are supported through capacity building and volunteering.

On behalf of the Scottish Government, we help to sustain and grow the dynamic third sector by representing, leading, coordinating, connecting, supporting, and providing development opportunities to community groups, charities, social enterprises, and volunteers.

We have been supporting the Third Sector in Perth & Kinross since TSI’s were created by the Scottish Government in 2011; but there’s never been a more exciting time to join us.

About the role

Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL) is the Third Sector Interface (TSI) and a highly valued support organisation for the community and voluntary sector (CVS) in North Lanarkshire.

VANL offers benefits including:

Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) provides support and services for charitable organisations, community groups, volunteering, and social enterprises in Clackmannanshire. It is part of the TSI Scotland Network, funded by the Scottish Government, and delivers key functions such as capacity building, advocacy, knowledge sharing, and partner connections.

Membership & Governance

This role will lead a small team, focusing on ensuring members' compliance in areas such as start-up, charity law, governance, funding, staff management, data compliance, sustainability, and health and safety. The role includes providing advice, liaising with experts, and supporting training for members, working closely with intermediaries, OSCR, Social Enterprise Scotland, and other bodies. It will work with the Chief Officer and other team leaders.

Family Support

The role will develop the Family Support Collaborative, linking around 30 family support organisations to deliver a new model of care with statutory partners.

The role manages a dedicated team, including a Family Support Collaborative Coordinator and a Community Connector, responsible for family support, data management, and related activities like the Children & Families Bulletin and quarterly forums.
