Job summary

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is seeking a Trusts Lead to drive a high-impact fundraising strategy in London. You will lead a team, manage key trust relationships and contribute to a robust income pipeline across trusts and foundations.

The role requires a proven track record in securing six- and seven-figure gifts, strong leadership, and excellence in budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. Hybrid working with at least 50% office-based time is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding trust and foundation income targets, including securing five and six-figure gifts and developing long-term funding relationships.
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing high-performing fundraising teams.
• Strong strategic, financial and relationship management skills, including experience managing substantial budgets, forecasts and KPIs, and working effectively with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Battersea's trusts fundraising strategy and drive income growth from a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters.
• Manage a team of three and personally manage high-value relationships with trusts capable of six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Oversee pipeline development, budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting to ensure strategic impact and transparency.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organisation to secure and steward funding relationships.
• Ensure smooth operations and timely reporting on fundraising performance.

Salary: £52,839 per annum
Contract: Fixed-term (12 months)
Location: Battersea, London (Hybrid working with at least 50% office-based)

As part of this exciting role, you will lead Battersea's trusts fundraising strategy, managing a team of three and driving income growth from a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters. You will personally manage a selection of high-value relationships, including trusts capable of making six and seven-figure gifts, while overseeing pipeline development, budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will ensure a collaborative and strategic approach to trust fundraising, stewardship and income generation.

To be successful as the Trusts Lead, you will need:

• A proven track record of meeting and exceeding trust and foundation income targets, including securing five and six-figure gifts and developing long-term funding relationships
• Experience of leading, motivating and developing high-performing fundraising teams
