Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity is seeking an ambitious Trusts & Foundations Manager to grow income from grant-making bodies and deliver impactful funding for children and families.

You will manage a portfolio, write compelling applications, collaborate across the Charity and the Trust, and report impact to secure long-term funding.

Qualifications

Reporting to: Head of Philanthropy, Trusts & Foundations

Salary: up to £41,758.26 per annum

Hours and basis: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week / Permanent position

Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity is looking for an ambitious and relationship-focused fundraising professional to join us as our Trusts & Foundations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in growing income from trusts and foundations, helping to secure vital funding that transforms the lives of children, young people and their families.

About the role

In this key fundraising role, you will lead the development and management of relationships with trusts and foundations, securing funding for projects that make a real difference across Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Charity and the Trust, you will identify new funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals and build strong partnerships with grant‑making organisations. You will manage an established portfolio of supporters while cultivating new prospects, delivering excellent stewardship and impact reporting to secure long‑term funding relationships and sustainable income growth.

Key responsibilities

About you

We’re looking for a motivated and proactive fundraising professional with experience of securing income from trusts and foundations. You will be passionate about building meaningful relationships and confident in developing persuasive funding applications that inspire support and deliver results.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, stewardship and pipeline management.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to develop tailored engagement plans for supporters.
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience producing compelling grant applications, proposals and donor reports.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative and results-focused approach to fundraising.
  • The resilience and adaptability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
