Job summary

Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust is seeking a Trust Estates Lead to oversee maintenance, operation and development of premises and assets across multiple sites. The role focuses on creating robust estates systems, ensuring safety, compliance and cost-efficiency while supporting growth.

You will lead site agents, manage priorities, respond to urgent issues, and participate in Trust Board and governor meetings as required, some outside school hours. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Develop estates systems, processes and standards for current and future growth.
• Influence the strategic direction of estates management across the Trust.
• Participate in Trust Board and Local Governor meetings as required, some outside normal hours.

The Trust Estates Lead is a newly created post at Bedford Inclusive Learning and Training Trust, a SEND multi academy trust running five sites. The role oversees maintenance, operation and development of premises and physical assets, with statutory compliance and site agents central. The post is distinct for shaping estates systems and standards across the Trust, with attendance at some Trust Board and governor meetings outside school hours. Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Ensure environments remain safe, compliant, efficient and cost-effective
• Lead estates operations across all sites

• Help establish and develop estates systems, processes and standards for the current estate and future growth
• Influence the strategic direction of estates management across the Trust
• Take part in whole-school and community activities such as open days and events
• Attend Trust Board and Local Governor meetings as required, some outside normal school hours
