Job description

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation (SMK) was established in June 2005 in honor of the legendary campaigner Sheila McKechnie. SMK aims to support campaigners in thriving and making a difference.

In a free and hopeful society, people need to believe they have the power to effect change: to envision and push for that change. For nearly two decades, we have assisted individuals, causes, and charities in discovering their power as changemakers. We support, connect, and champion these campaigners, equipping them to pursue the social change they desire.

The Treasurer, sharing responsibilities with all Board members, is expected to be the financial expert on the Board and provide advice on all financial matters.

The role involves ensuring the Board maintains the financial health of SMK, with systems in place for financial accountability and sustainability.
