Our work began in Madagascar and is expanding globally, partnering with traditional fishers and community organisations across multiple countries to promote sustainable fisheries management and conservation.
We bring partners together to advocate for reform and share best practices to support fishing communities worldwide.
Summary Terms of Reference
We have nine trustees and three subcommittees: People and Culture, Finance, Risk & Audit, and Safeguarding. We are establishing a fourth subcommittee—the programme subcommittee—to support our core mission: aiding coastal communities in rebuilding fisheries and restoring ocean life. The new trustee will join one of our subcommittees.
We seek two trustees for Blue Ventures' Board to contribute to the Programme Committee, which oversees our global programme portfolio, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with our mission. The ideal candidate will have expertise in community-based conservation, small-scale fisheries, environmental governance, or international development. As a trustee, you will review strategy, assess performance, monitor risks, and advise on policies, acting as a thought partner to our leadership.
