Job description

Role Description

This is a volunteer position for both Trustee and Governor roles at South Downs Learning Trust. The Trustee / Governor will support and challenge the schools within the trust, attend regular meetings, contribute to strategic decision-making, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include monitoring the performance of the schools and ensuring financial stability and effective governance. Board meetings based in Eastbourne, must be available up to 3 times a year in person.

Qualifications

•Experience or a willingness to learn about

  • governance and strategic planning within education.
  • Experience preference within the HR Sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in educational or charity sectors is a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Commitment to the values and mission of South Downs Learning Trust
