Job description

Each of the clients you will work with has different needs, and in applying your expertise in different contexts, you’ll develop your skills and gain valuable experience that will serve you throughout your career.

Our client is looking for someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing their own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and partners to help businesses effectively.

The Private Client Services team offers a plethora of carefully tailored services to an equally varied range of clients – from UK and offshore Trusts, Charities and Estates, to entrepreneurs, entertainers, and more. Their expertise helps to manage their global tax proactively and seamlessly.

At this firm, you will have the opportunity to expand and strengthen your skillset and gain an invaluable insight into the wider Tax business. You’ll be supported to develop your career at pace and help others do the same while undertaking an exciting, varied workload for a broad range of clients.

Responsibilities:
  1. Trust tax knowledge is essential as is a wide knowledge of personal taxation.
  2. Act as a point of contact within the firm for the client together with the other senior staff.
  3. Deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of existing clients including billings and cash collection within the firm’s criteria but with a significant element of ad hoc consultancy work.
  4. Pro-actively manage your own workload, provide overall support to Partners on client matters and assist Partners in the management of the group.
  5. Recognise business and sales opportunities and progress these forward with other senior staff. A strong appetite for growing the portfolio and team is required.

To be successful you will have:
  1. Experience providing trust, estate and charity advice to high net worth individuals.
  2. Proven specialist technical private client experience, and the ability to deal with complex tax issues, gained within a practice environment.
  3. Experience of reviewing Trust accounts and associated tax accounting aspects (eg computing tax pools).
  4. Experience of dealing with HNW clients.
  5. Some experience of and an appetite for seeking opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients.
  6. Staff management experience.
  7. CTA and/or STEP qualified.

Rewards and benefits:

You’ll be able to be yourself; our client recognises and values you for who you are and celebrates and rewards your contributions to the business. They are committed to agile working and offer every colleague the opportunity to work in ways that suit you, your teams, and the task at hand.

You will be supported to achieve your personal goals and career ambitions and have access to programmes, resources, and frameworks that provide clarity and structure around career development.
