Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications for a Trust Lead SACT Nurse and Matron for Oncology Outpatients. This permanent Band 8a post is 37.5 hours per week and Macmillan-badged, with access to education funding and development opportunities.

You will provide visible clinical and professional leadership across cancer services, influence local and Trust-wide initiatives, and support teaching, mentoring and research to improve patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Senior nursing leadership experience in oncology or outpatient settings.
• NHS Band 8a level experience or equivalent leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing and multi-professional team across cancer services.
• Lead the strategy for teaching and assessing for sign off in the administration of anti-cancer treatments across Trust.
• Foster a culture of incident reporting and reflection, equal opportunity and mutual respect between the professions.
• Support nursing research and audit and disseminate findings locally and Trust-wide.
